Which technique should you choose to print a fabric, clothing or textile object ?

- digital printing (inkjet, transfer or sublimation): Suitable for small to large runs of fabrics by the meter. This technique is popular for printing all types of patterns (all-over patterns, placed patterns) on the entire fabric. It offers faithful rendering of details or color gradients, without limitation on the number of colors (ideal for reproducing a photograph or a complex pattern in four-color process, for example).
- rotary printing : Used for the production of large films (greater than 300 linear meters). This fabric printing technique deals with all-over designs generally composed of a maximum of 12 colors.
- screen printing : ideal for small to large series of already made pieces. This personalization technique is widely used to print patterns placed on clothing or textile objects (example: logo on a t-shirt). Screen printing can process designs composed of 1 to 24 colors (the number of colors present in the pattern is important to know because the cost of production increases with the number of colors).
